The 2013 Subaru VX Crosstrek is officially a contender to win the 2013 Motor Trend Sport-Utility of the Year! We're not overly surprised that the XV Crosstrek is among 11 vehicles in the top spots for the award (four of which are luxury vehicles made by Mercedes, Audi and Acura), but we thought we share the great news with our fans!
What Motor Trend has to say about the Crosstrek:
It handles and parks like a compact car, but will still carry sporting accessories and friends, and is capable of light off-roading. Its 22.4 MPG from hard, real-world driving is nearly four MPG better than the second-best on the list; the Mercedes-Benz GL350 Bluetec."These features make the Crosstrek the poster-vehicle for driving to that mountain bike trail in the woods," Motor Trend adds.
They say that ordering the manual gearbox makes a good difference. The base trim level starts at $22,970, upping to $25,290 for added automatic climate control, automatic headlamps, a better radio, leather-trimmed seats and a CVT gearshift knob.
Preorder your Sport/Utility of the Year contender by going to our Subaru XV Crosstrek reservation page here. We'll keep you updated as when they'll be rolling onto the lot, which should be any day now.
Happy driving Subaru fans!
