The 2013 Subaru BRZ Video: Why It's Worth It

Cars.com's Kicking Tires blog just posted a video review of the Subaru BRZ.

According to their website, "The Subaru BRZ is not only a great-looking sports car loaded with available features, but it's also a remarkably fun, well-balanced coupe. However, it's got a tiny backseat and overall firm ride, as well as a $1,300 price premium over its twin, the Scion FR-S. Is it worth it? Cars.com reviewer Joe Wiesenfelder takes a close look at one of today's true affordable sports cars and explains why the answer is yes."

Check out our selection of the 2013 Subaru BRZ here, and enjoy the video!

Subaru Leads TrueCar.com's 2012 Performance Scorecards for Manufacturers and Brands for the Fourth Straight Month

TrueCar.com recently released its Performance Scorcards, which grade automotive manufacturers and brands for their performance; this one specifically is for September 2012. Each manufacturer is graded on eight measurements; pricing, sales, incentives, customer loyalty, market share and days in inventory.

Subaru was ranked at number one, flanked by Toyota, BMW and Jaguar; Subaru is the only brand that received an "A+", closely follow by a tie for second "A" by Toyota and BMW.

It's not that we didn't already know that Subarus are amazing vehicles, but it's certainly nice to get the recognition! Way to go Subaru! If you're not already a part of the Subaru family or are looking for your next Subie, view our new Subaru inventory or used Subaru selection here!

If you'd like to see the rest of the ranks, visit TrueCar.com here.

2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek: Contending for Motor Trend Sport/Utility of the Year

The 2013 Subaru VX Crosstrek is officially a contender to win the 2013 Motor Trend Sport-Utility of the Year! We're not overly surprised that the XV Crosstrek is among 11 vehicles in the top spots for the award (four of which are luxury vehicles made by Mercedes, Audi and Acura), but we thought we share the great news with our fans!

What Motor Trend has to say about the Crosstrek:

It handles and parks like a compact car, but will still carry sporting accessories and friends, and is capable of light off-roading. Its 22.4 MPG from hard, real-world driving is nearly four MPG better than the second-best on the list; the Mercedes-Benz GL350 Bluetec."These features make the Crosstrek the poster-vehicle for driving to that mountain bike trail in the woods," Motor Trend adds.

They say that ordering the manual gearbox makes a good difference. The base trim level starts at $22,970, upping to $25,290 for added automatic climate control, automatic headlamps, a better radio, leather-trimmed seats and a CVT gearshift knob.

Preorder your Sport/Utility of the Year contender by going to our Subaru XV Crosstrek reservation page here. We'll keep you updated as when they'll be rolling onto the lot, which should be any day now.

Happy driving Subaru fans!

UPDATE: the winner was just announced, congratulations to the Mercedes-Benz GL for winning the award! Still want a Crosstrek? Don't blame ya! Head to our Subaru VX Crosstrek page here.

2013 Subaru Outback Review

"Reviewers say the 2013 Outback successfully combines the utility of an SUV with the drive-ability of a car, making it one of the best wagons in the class," according to a review by US News.

The 2013 Outback of course is equipped with Subaru's standard AWD. It also has the option of either a four-cylinder engine (best for commuting and in-town driving), or six-cylinder, which is best for highway passing, merging and navigating hilly terrain.

According to US News' review, it drives like a sedan, but has confident handling and a smooth ride. Yet another top safety pick from the IIHS, the 2013 Subaru Outback has a roomy, nicely-built interior, fully equipped with the all-new Subaru EyeSight system and Bluetooth phone and music connectivity.

US News is overly enthused about the all-new Outback, and we are too! Give us a call if you'd like more info, or head to our website to check out our selection of 2013 Subaru Outbacks!
