Motor Trend's Comparison: BMW M235i vs. Mercedes CLA45 AMG vs. Subaru WRX STI

Motor Trend put three 'enthusiast steeds' to the test to see which was their favorite out of the BMW M235i, Mercedes CLA45 AMG and Subaru WRX STI. Their winner? The Subaru WRX STI Launch Edition, which we happen to have in stock now! Normally we'd summarize, but we think the drivers at Motor Authority put it best:

This safety system utilizes a camera and has brake assist, lane departure warning and more; the IIHS named it the 'single highest-performing' system when paired with other similar systems that have higher price tags.

The new Forester has a higher seat, adjusted dash and an updated windshield position.

3. 'All-wheel drive, and its lack of fluster with X-Mode'
The Forester has an amazing AWD system that pairs with the new X-Mode Hill Descent Control for added control in unfavorable driving conditions.

The 2014 Subaru Forester is an IIHS Top Safety Pick+, the IIHS' highest accolade.

Subaru Viziv 2 Concept

Subaru unveiled its new concept at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month, which is a preview of its replacement for the Tribeca. The Subaru Viziv 2 Concept is named for "vision of innovation" and is represented with new styling themes and technology, according to Motor Authority.

The Viziv 2 has an AWD system with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that has a 1.6-liter BOXER diesel and a continuously variable transmission. Also on the concept is Subaru's EyeSight Driver Assist system, which would work with an "Eco Cruise" mode to scan the road and tune engine output to give the vehicle greater efficiency -- but that's just a concept thus far.
