The 2015 Subaru Outback Makes its Debut at the New York International Auto Show

The all-new 2015 Subaru Outback just made its debut at the New York International Auto Show! The arrival of the next-generation Outback has been highly anticipated and we couldn't be more excited to share the details of the upgraded crossover.

The new Outback boasts a standard Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that will get an estimated 25/33 mpg; an improvement from the previous model's 24/30 mpg. A new aluminum hood makes the ride lighter, while an updated windshield positioning improves driver visibility.

The new model looks to be roughly the same size, but with many improvements made to cargo and passenger space. The passenger room has gone from 105.4 cubic feet to 108.1, while rear cargo space has upped from 71.3 cubic feet to 73.3. As you can see from the images, there is also a bolder styling, specifically on the front grille.

A power rear gate helps with convenience, as does the new, standard rear camera. Additionally added is a "welcome lighting" feature, which illuminates the interior when the driver approaches the vehicle, and a keyless entry with push-button start, both of which come standard on select trim levels. Turn signal indicator mirrors are available, while a touch-screen navigation system and smart phone integration are both included.

Safety features are aplenty on the 2015 Outback, which is well on its way to receiving an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ honor for its high-tech Subaru EyeSight system. This model has the newest version of EyeSight, which includes adaptive fog lights that illuminate where the vehicle's wheel is turned, as well as a Rear Vehicle Detection, which combines Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. There is also an integrated roll over prevention sensor.

Subaru BRZ Named to Automobile Magazine's All-Star List

The Subaru BRZ was named to Automobile Magazine's prestigious All-Star list for the second year running. Every car that's currently on sale in the United States is judged; the Subaru BRZ was one of just 10 that made the list.

2015 Subaru Outback Set to Debut at the 2014 New York Auto Show

Subaru has teased another image of their 2015 model line -- the 2015 Subaru Outback, which is set to debut on April 17 at the 2014 New York Auto Show. A hint of a redesign is clear, and so far things are looking very similar to the 2015 Legacy that debuted in February. We think there's potential for a slightly boxier grille and loads of amazing new comfort, safety and convenience features!
