Seldon Hill of Essex High School is the winner of the 2013 Drive for Excellence program
Seldon Hill, a senior at Essex High School will be driving a brand-new Subaru Impreza today as part of Burlington Subaru Hyundai’s Drive for Excellence program. Drive for Excellence is in its sixth consecutive year of rewarding hard-working high school juniors and seniors with a chance to win a new car. Once the winner is drawn, they have the opportunity to choose between a new Hyundai Elantra and a new Subaru Impreza.
“I can’t even believe it,” said Hill, right after choosing to take home the Subaru Impreza. “At first I didn’t think I was going to win, but all this week I just had this good feeling.” Hill will be attending Castleton State College in the fall, with the intention to work towards a major in Graphic Design.
This year, Burlington Subaru Hyundai sifted through the report cards of 662 students, whose grades compiled the 16,079 entries this year. Hill was chosen at random as one of the 75 finalists for this year’s Drive for Excellence and entered into the raffle today to be chosen as the 2013 winner.
Hill’s older brother was also a finalist in the 2010 Drive for Excellence event, but did not win a car that year.
