Happy 4th of July from Burlington Subaru!

Independence Day VermontDid you know...

On June 2, 1777, a convention of 72 delegates met at Westminster and adopted the name "Vermont" for our state. These delegates set a time for a meeting just a month later, and on July 4, the Constitution of Vermont was drafted - it was the first written constitution in North America to provide for the abolition of slavery, suffrage for men who did not own land, and public schools.

The 4th of July means independence in two ways for us Vermonters; for when our country gained independence from Great Britain, and for when we gained independence as a state. Happy Independence Day VT!
